Chorus Master Répétiteur

Opera Integra, the award-winning amateur opera company founded by Brian Galloway in 1971 and based in Notting Hill, London, has an opening for a Chorus Master Répétiteur, starting in the Autumn.

The company normally performs one staged opera a year in English (next production The Magic Flute, on 8 & 9 February 2019) as well as a regular Summer Concert in July, and performs several concerts of opera excerpts (performed in their original language) as  opportunities arise during the year.

The Chorus Master Répétiteur’s responsibilities are to play the piano in rehearsals and performances and to rehearse the chorus and prepare them for staged operas and concert performances of opera excerpts, which often requires preparing rehearsal recordings of the individual parts.. Rehearsals are held every Thursday evening, 6.30-9.30pm, during term time, in Colville School, London W11 2DF.

Applicants should be competent pianists with good sight reading skills, be experienced in chorus rehearsals and have a good knowledge of and passion for opera.

Please download the Chorus Master Répétiteur Responsibilities document, which defines the responsibilities of this position.
