Auditions for The Tales of Hoffmann (Full production 2020)

You may be interested in auditioning for Opera Integra’s next fully staged production of Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffmann.
Schedule:
Music rehearsals begin: 5 September 2019 (TBC)
Production rehearsals begin: 14 November 2019
Sitzprobe in venue: 21st Feb 2020
Techs: 22nd & 24 Feb 2020
Open dress rehearsals: 25 & 26 Feb 2020
Performances: 28 & 29 Feb 2020We are looking to flexibly cast the major roles. For example, we are considering having two Hoffmann’s in each performance and allowing Antonias/Guiliettas the opportunity of singing both roles on separate nights and Crespels/Miracles/Lindorfs/Dappertuttos/Coppelius the opportunity of singing two or more villains (TBC). Please indicate if you are interested in a mixture of roles.

Soloists will be expected to sing in the chorus on their ‘off’ nights

We rehearse on Thursday evenings (6.30-9.30pm) at Coleville School in Notting Hill (W11 2DF).

Our fees are currently £90 per term and that covers our professional staff expenses/venue hire etc – we are not-for-profit and our motives are purely to provide performance opportunities for singers.

Auditions:
Friday 26th July – 6-8pm (you may express an approximate time, but that cannot be guaranteed)
Please email operaintegra@gmail.com to express interest; venue and time slot details will be sent by return.

We plan to be using the Schirmer translation, but any English translation is fine for the audition.

Please also bring along a second Offenbach aria (in English translation) that you feel shows off the qualities needed for the role(s) you are auditioning for. You may or may not be asked to sing this.
